After a little bit of discussion about the new AP Lit exam, poetry analysis prompts and rubric are reviewed, answering questions about expectations and prompt language. Where and how to write a thesis is discussed, and attendees collectively critique two example theses in response to an AP prompt. Read and discuss a poem in preparation to write a thesis, focusing on the devices that create the relationship of the prompt.
