The pituitary gland is a small pea-sized gland located at the base of the brain. It is often referred to as the 'master gland' because it controls the function of most other endocrine glands.
Endocrine System: The system of glands that produce body’s hormones and control many bodily functions such as growth, reproduction, and metabolism.
Hormone Secretion: The process by which hormones are released into bloodstream from endocrine glands.
Adrenal Gland: A pair of endocrine glands located above kidneys that produce hormones like adrenaline (which helps your body respond to stress) and cortisol.
