Definition

Environmental issues refer to harmful effects of human activity on the biophysical environment. These problems include air and water pollution, global warming, overpopulation, waste disposal, and deforestation among others.

Sustainability: This refers to meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It's like making sure you don't eat all the cookies today so there are some left for tomorrow!

Conservation: This is about protecting natural resources from harm or destruction. Imagine if you had a rare comic book collection - you'd want to keep it safe and in good condition right? That's what conservation is about but with nature.

Biodiversity: This term refers to the variety of life in a particular habitat or ecosystem. Picture going to a music festival with only one band playing versus one with many different bands - biodiversity is like having many different bands (species), each contributing its unique sound (role) in nature's symphony.
