Mesopotamia
Definition
Mesopotamia is an ancient region located in the eastern Mediterranean, corresponding to present-day Iraq, mostly, but also parts of modern-day Iran, Syria and Turkey. It's known as the birthplace of some of the world's earliest civilizations.
