An FRQ, or Free Response Question, is a type of essay question that requires students to analyze and interpret a given text or literary work. It allows students to demonstrate their understanding of the text and their ability to construct a well-organized and supported argument.
Thesis statement: A clear and concise statement that presents the main argument or claim of an essay.
Evidence: Specific examples, quotes, or details from the text that support your thesis statement.
Analysis: The process of examining and interpreting the significance or meaning of textual evidence in relation to your thesis statement.
