Magnetic forces are the forces exerted on a charged particle or a current-carrying wire due to the presence of a magnetic field. These forces can cause the charged particle or wire to experience motion or change in direction.
Magnetic Field: A region around a magnet or current-carrying wire where magnetic forces are exerted.
Lorentz Force: The combined force experienced by a charged particle moving through both an electric field and a magnetic field.
Electromagnetism: The branch of physics that deals with the interaction between electric currents and magnetic fields.
