The G8 was an inter-governmental political forum from 1997 until 2014, comprised by eight major industrialized countries - France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Russia.
Industrialized Nations: Countries that have large industries and advanced technology providing a more comfortable way of life than developing countries.
International Relations: The study of relationships between countries including roles of states, intergovernmental organizations (IGOs), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), etc.
Diplomacy: The practice of conducting negotiations between representatives of states; it involves discussions designed to produce agreements.
