The World Wide Web (WWW or web) is an information system where documents and other web resources are identified by URLs, interlinked by hypertext links, and can be accessed via the internet.
Internet: This is a global network connecting millions of computers worldwide; it's like the infrastructure that allows our city's public transportation system to operate.
URL (Uniform Resource Locator): This is essentially the address of a specific webpage or file on the internet; akin to how each bus stop or train station has its own unique name or number.
Hyperlink: This is a reference in a document that a reader can directly follow, or that is followed automatically; much like how you would follow signs at stations or stops to reach your destination.
